Am I really beautiful to you?
Or just a beautiful heart you'll tear in two...
How do I know that when you look and admire,
That look of awe isn't just one of carnal desire?
How do I separate your love from lust,
To know that your feelings are pure and just?
Maybe your love and camaraderie is just a mask,
Your true heart deceitful, contorted and black.
Maybe you're just pretending,
All the while hiding
Your true intention.
So like a moth to the proverbial flame,
you draw me steadily in.

Enthralled,
